It turns out that food was packed with allergens and stuff that humans really aren't supposed to eat.
To be honest I wasn’t worried much about what was in our survival food when I bought it.
I was all about quantity, I didn’t really think about quality much.
We all need high quality food in great quantities.
So I called a friend of mine in Florida. His name is Dr. Patrick Conrad.
He’s a former Navy aviator (he has over 100 aircraft carrier landings) and now he’s an ER doctor.
Plus he’s a survivalist who knows all about backwoods survival and crisis preparedness.
He’s one of those guys that rides out every hurricane season by staying put.
He just boards up the windows, puts on the weather radio, and cracks a beer.
When I have a medical and survival question, he’s the guy I go to.
So, after he got done laughing about my roof story, and after he told me I was insane for living in a climate that got that much snow, he told me he LOVED my idea.
I was just thinking a simple protein shake, but he was adamant… NO.
